cozy weekend

It was time to explore Skaelskor and to step out of the studio for a bit. On a lovely Saturday morning the sun was shinning.
Here you can see a man pushing his tiny boat down the main street.
Most of Saturday for me was working in the cold garage making profiles for the plaster wheel. Gloves and an ipod were much needed.
I have decided to start a play list for each day so everyone knows what the studio sounds like.
1. cat power - satisfaction
2. Rasputina - Wish you were here
3. Skip James - hard times killing(floor blues)
4. Gillian welch - Miss Ohio
5. Lhasa - el desrto
6. Tom Waits - All the world is great
7. lali puna - scary world theory
8. Johnny Cash - When the name comes around
9. the books - Smells like content
10. Einsturzende Neubauten - Silence is sexy
11. Mr. Bungle - Good by sober day
12. Nitin Sawhney - Footprints
13. Davka - the golem rises
14. Lhasa De Sela - Para El Fin Del Mundo O El Año Nuevo
Plunger Exhibition!

As Martin showed in the last post, Friday night was the opening reception in the AppleHouse gallery. The show was a big hit with with its innovative plunger exhibition planning. The work took on a whole new life with the presentation leading the way. All ceramic art in the show was curated by Anders and James from the existing collection at Guldagergaard.

Copenhagen day.

Yesterday, most of the crew went to CPH to check out the sights. So, the house and the studio were pretty quite, except for Jen(me), Eric, Gisela, and Anders.
The hight light was watching Anders searching through two creates of broken Royal Copenhagen porcelain. Apparently left over from a project a few years ago. He was looking for scrap to use in his project of home built alter scenes.
By the time I came out to check on him he had set up an archaeological dig complete with categories such as, figurines, all white, picture frames, lace trim, Flora Danica, blue fluted MEGA and about 10 more.
Note the bare hands and lack of warm clothing, he was out there for about 5 hours. Yes we are in Denmark in November. He went through the entire crate shard by shard. then he dumped the rejects back in for some other lucky artists to find in a couple of years.
